Meet Dr. Amber

Dr. Amber is double board certified Family and Lifestyle medicine doctor as well as a certified life coach. 

She is a best-selling author, physician journalist, and co-founder of Women in White Coats (an organization that focuses on uplifting and empowering women physicians). She graduated from University of Rochester School of Medicine for medical school and residency. She completed a Health and Media fellowship at Georgetown University School of Medicine in collaboration with PBS NewsHour. She received her MBA from Louisiana State University-Shreveport and also has a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business.

Dr. Robins has written and been featured on various media platforms including the PBS NewsHour, HuffingtonPost, ABC News, Doximity, GoodRx, Medelita, BlackDoctor.org, and The Journal for Minority Medical Students in her own column entitled “Diary of a Medical Student”. She has appeared in medical segments for the national PBS NewsHour and the local Rochester CBS.

Dr. Robins has received many awards. She was honored as the Congressional Black Caucus/National Minority Quality Forum’s 2018 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health and also 40 Under 40 for Xavier University of Louisiana. Additionally, she is a former board member for Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) where she held the role of resident representative.
